This CLK63 AMG convertible made approx 71 HP/Ltr. Now engine output is more than 92 HP/Ltr on a normally aspirated 6.3L V8!!! That is an amazing 29% increase in power!

As the world's first production road car to feature an all carbon composite monocoque and body structure the F1 heralded a new era in the transfer of Formula One technology to the road. The extensive use of carbon fiber among other lightweight materials kept overall weight very low to improve handling and performance and yet provided exceptional strength and unsurpassed levels of safety.

The F1 was powered by a BMW S70/2 engine, specifically designed and built for the car. **UPDATE** DYNO RESULTS FOR THE SSR RETRO MOD




This limited edition FINAL production 2006 LS2 6.0L 2006 SSR truck was brought to Dyno-Comp completely stock with 395 flywheel HP and a ride similar to a 4X4. The customer demanded power and handling exceeding the LS2 Corvette. Dyno-Comp decided to give it the complete regiment of Stage-3 power upgrades, as well as perfecting the handing with a Stage-2 suspension system:

THE ENVIRONMENTALIST'S NIGHTMARE



Every so often we get something that is not so “ECO Friendly". Actually, this specimen would probably cause your everyday tree hugger to strap themselves to our dyno in protest.

This blazing Super Duty Ford cranked out 775+ Wheel TQ @2200 RPM and over 340+ Wheel HP. So what does this equate to at the Flywheel? WHO REALLY KNOWS!
The shoes on this beast were 48”x14.5x20, the 1000 pound front bumper had to be installed with a fork lift and the vehicle's overall weight exceeds 7000 lbs.
These factors definitely don’t help with the power-train-loss factor....and, well you know.

So if we were to guess, Dyno-Comp estimates the flywheel TQ to be in the range of 1000-1100, and flywheel HP of 450-500.

OLD SCHOOL TO NEW SCHOOL: SRT HEMI V8



Previously owned by Alice Cooper, this 6.1-liter SRT HEMI V8 engine with 425-horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque, SRT-8 Challenger has come back after Dodge ceased production more than 34 years ago. Funny how this new HEMI makes as much as the old-school 426 Hemi, but with 3 times the gas mileage, while meeting strict federal emission requirements.

This is the LAST of the Mopar Muscle Car...literally. With a whole new government regime, and Chrysler now becoming Fiat, I don’t think we will ever see anything like this again. When my 5 year old son gets his license, this beast may actually be worth something. We’ll see when I go to the Barrett Jackson Auto auction in the year 2020!!!

NEW ZR1 MAKES THE 0-1000 CLUB



This long awaited ZR1 finally made it to Dyno-Comp for the first round of upgrades. Bone stock this ZR1 made an impressive 500 wheel HP and 495+ peak torque at a brutal 3500 RPM. Converting to “Flywheel HP” on our Dyno-Dynamics Dynamometer, this equates to 620 HP and 613 TQ vs. Chevrolet’s claim of 620 HP and 595 TQ which is not too optimistic on their part!

So what’s in store for the MOST powerful production Corvette ever built?
Dyno-Comp plans to take this ZR1 to the 770-800 HP mark!!! Since this ZR1 was still in it’s “break-in” period, Dyno-Comp decided to start with an exhaust system upgrade. The Corsa Sport exhaust system yielded another 38+ wheel TQ coming it at 3500 RPM and another 24-25 wheel HP across the entire RPM range.

“So what’s the 0-1000 Club, you ask?”
If you analyze the above dyno chart, the scale is 0-1000 HP and 0-1000 TQ.
Once a car goes over 500 Wheel HP, we must change the scale on the chart from 0-500 to 0-1000.

Note: The minor graduations are now 20 HP each.

DYNO-COMP IS DIALED INTO SPORT UTILITIES



No 'Bling' Necessary...Just Power & Performance Please!

This Dyno-Comp client received the best of both worlds with his 2008 Escalade, sporting the new 6.2L engine. BIG power gains, enhanced driveability and improved fuel economy on a 6.2L Escalade? Yeah, you guessed it! When it comes to tuning, Dyno-Comp does not stop there!

The freshly installed Cadillac Escalade/Dyno-Comp Stage-3 package included the following:
  • Volant Cold Air Intake System
  • Corsa Sport Exhaust System
  • Dyno-Comp CUSTOM ECU Tuning
We do not use your typical, off the shelf programmers like Superchips and Diablosport. Simply put, there are too many tuning parameters that these generic programmers miss out on. Dyno-Comp actually custom tunes each car, addressing unique ecu parameters. One such example, is “transmission torque management”. With today's electronic “throttle by wire”, manufacturers can limit the throttle open angle, despite how hard you hit the gas pedal! Most of the time, when you're below 3000 RPM, you may only experience a 70-80% throttle, which reduces low end power and response. This may also hold true for the upper RPM range.

Dyno-Comp custom ECU tuning allows 100% throttle opening, 100% of the time! This vastley improves low end torque and horsepower. Couple this with a high flow Corsa exhaust system and a Volant air intake system to allow this 6.2L big boy to breath, resulting in astonishing gains, as illustrated in the above chart and below.
