800 HP HEFFNER TWIN-TURBO LAMBORGHINI GALLARDO GETS A NEW SET OF LUNGS

When you think you already have the ultimate driving machine, than you're probably thinking of something “stupid fast”, like an 800 HP Heffner Twin-Turbo Lamborghini Gallardo!

Stock (Factory Rated Flywheel Power):

The Heffner Twin Turbo system primary components consist of:
- (2) Ball Bearing “Precision Turbo” Turbochargers

What is the VERDICT?
Let’s convert from Wheel HP to Flywheel HP; our powertrain loss on our dyno is 35% for an AWD Lamborghini Gallardo:
  • 592whp X 1.35 = 798.4 flywheel HP
  • 450wtq X 1.35 = 607.5 flywheel TQ

Considering our “Fruit Punch” Arizona blend 91 octane fuel, we would say that Heffner was right on with their 800 HP “bolt-on” kit!

THE RENNTECH C230 KOMPRESSOR THAT COULD


IF I THINK I CAN, I CAN...

This is a story of the little C230 Kompressor that came across 75 ponies. Well, these 75 ponies decided to give this C230 a serious pep-talk, resulting in a dramatic increase in performance and power. Ahh, how we just loved watching this little guy turn into a machine capable of throwing down some serious HP. Read the vitals below, to see how this C230 went from the one who was always picked last, to a horse power all-star.

Stock (Power at the Wheels):
  • 152 Wheel HP
  • 160 Wheel TQ

Lets convert from Wheel HP to Flywheel HP- NOTE: Powertrain loss on our dyno is 25%:
  • 152 X 1.25 = 190 flywheel HP
  • 160 X 1.25 = 200 flywheel TQ
Since this Mercedes rated this 2.3L supercharged I-4 at (Flywheel) 189-hp, 200 lb-ft, the car was in good health and right on the money,

Using the same design, development, and construction as all of our other Dyno-Comp MBH long tube headers, these C230 headers are the REAL Deal. They are hand-crafted with the same ingenuity and philosophy as the rest of our world renowned Dyno-Comp/MBH AMG header collection. All of our Dyno-Comp headers are MADE IN THE USA with American steel with the same hands which make all of our Dyno-Comp AMG-63 and AMG-55 headers.

The horsepower gains are HUGE over the stock “log” manifolds.

STROKED AND SCREEMIN 9000RPM DYNO-COMP/COSWORTH STI




WHOEVER SAID STROKER MOTORS DON'T REV HARD HASN'T SEEN THIS BEAST!

This 2.6L Cosworth stroker monster is capable of spinning all the way to 9,000 at a whopping 26 psi!!! From this, you will experience a blistering 560 horsepower at the wheels! That equates to approx 740-750hp at the crank.

Beware of this one, keep your peeps peeled! This is a, “Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing” with stock wheels, stock suspension, stock body, all coupled with some subtle upgrades like the Seibon Carbon fiber Hood painted 2-tone.

So what are the benefits to a Cosworth long block stroker motor and the larger displacement? For one thing, the ability to rev nearly 2,000 rpms higher, setting you up for a tremendous increase in power. That is more than DOUBLE the Horsepower of a stock STI, and a 450 HP increase over stock...think about that one!

WELCOME TO DYNO-COMP UNIVERSITY: FLYWHEEL POWER 101




SO HOW DOES 1 + 1 EQUAL 100?


Well according to Dyno-Comp Owner, Richard Garcia...

(1) RENNtech ECU upgrade + (1) set of Dyno-Comp/MBH Long tube headers = (100) Flywheel HP Increase!!! Fair enough

Out of the box Mercedes rates this 6.3L normally aspirated 32 valve V8 at the engine/flywheel: 451 HP and 443 TQ

We get many inquiries regarding the difference between factory rated power at the flywheel vs. the power a car puts down once it gets to the wheel. I think this would be an ideal time to explain, so let's jump into our flywheel lecture.

Since Mercedes rates power at the flywheel, and we measure power at the wheels, there is going to be a percentage of parasitic loss due to drivetrain friction from the flywheel all the way down to the wheels. Think about it, once the power is transferred from the engine’s crank shaft, through the torque converter, through the transmission gears, through the drive shaft and U-Joints, through the rear differential, through the rear axles and CV joints, through the rotating mass of the wheels and brakes and finally, all the way down to the friction of the tires on the dyno rollers...still with us? This is where our dyno FINALLY measures the power. And through all of this, we see an approximate powertrain loss of 25% loss.

NOTE: Every dyno measures horsepower differently when it comes down to different types and manufacturers of dynos. Our dyno uses a current based load- like a generator but in reverse. The harder a car pushes the power down to the dyno, the harder our dyno pushes back with more and more load in order to maintain a consistent load through the entire power band.

This creates a REAL WORLD load (as if you were driving on the street). For nearly a decade of dyno tuning experience, Dyno-Comp knows what our powertrain loss factor is on a 2WD A/T trans car, and that is 25 to 27%. Let’s use 25% so we are on the conservative side.

So....on a car that is rated at 450 HP at the flywheel, we SHOULD see approx 360 HP at the wheels. Here's the math: 360 X 1.25 = 450 HP

So let’s put this formula to the test!!!

BONE STOCK: 2009 C63 AMG

REAL WORLD this is what a 2009 C63 AMG put down on our dyno:
  • 366 (Wheel HP) X 1.25 = 457.5 HP at the flywheel. This is about 6.5 HP more than stock.
  • 350 (Wheel TQ) X 1.25 = 437.5 TQ at the flywheel. This is about -5.5 HP less than stock.
This particular C63 AMG was a bit on the strong side for HP but a bit less for TQ. At the end of the day, this is pretty close….6 of 1, half dozen of another!
  • HP is now at 450 (at the wheels), which equates to approx 562 HP at the flywheel.
  • TQ is now at 400 (at the wheels) which is approx 500 TQ at the flywheel.
WHEN THE DUST SETTLES, what does this all mean?
  • +105 HP increase at the flywheel
  • +63 TQ increase at the flywheel
There you have it!

(1) RENNtech ECU upgrade + (1) set of Dyno-Comp/MBH Long tube headers actually equals 105 Flywheel HP Increase!

After months of C.A.D. design, these long tube headers are hand-crafted with the same design and material as the rest of our world renowned Dyno-Comp/MBH AMG header collection. All of our Dyno-Comp headers are MADE IN THE USA with American steel!

The horsepower gains are HUGE over the stock "log" manifolds, and crushing competitor "shorty" Chinese made headers.

The Dyno-Comp AMG-55 Long Tube headers are guaranteed to make a minimum of a 40-45 wheel horsepower gains. When used in conjunction with RENNtech stage 3 software ECU and Pulley upgrade, Dyno-Comp has tuned such vehicles to a realize a 80 to 100 Wheel HP. After many tests, we are starting to see even greater power gains!

DYNO-COMP BUILT: INFINITI G35 TT GOING HARD








TWO EXTREME- DYNO-COMP TUNING AND INSTALLATION, STILLEN EXHAUST, APS TWIN TURBO KIT AND COSWORTH INTAKE...

Two is always better than one. We took a 2006 G35 Coupe and gave it not one, but two extreme turbos utilizing one of the last APS twin turbo tuner kits in the country! Not only that, but we did it in 4 days! Dyno-Comp took a job that typically takes weeks and completed it in a quarter of the time. So what did we do to create such an extreme G35? Besides the immaculate tuning and flawless installation you've come to expect, just take a look at the list bellow.

We just had to go big with our latest Mercedes Benz E55 AMG Build. And by big, we mean huge RENNtech modifications, coupled with our world renowned dyno tuning. As you know by now, this combination yields nothing but the finest performance gains.

So just what did we do to gain an additional 175 Horsepower and 205 Torque at the flywheel? Well apart from the superior tuning and impeccable installation, take a gander at the modifications listed below.
  1. RENNTech 180mm supercharger pulley
  2. RENNTech 82mm throttle body with high flow supercharger bellows
  3. RENNTech Stainless Steel Headers
  4. RENNTech Intercooler heat exchanger upgrade with high flow pump.

DYNO-COMP BUILT: 2006 PONTIAC GTO REDRUM



KILLER ECU TUNING BY DYNO-COMP YIELDS A THIRST FOR VENGEANCE ON THE STREET

Stock this Pontiac GTO is factory rated at 400 Flywheel HP, which is approximately 330 HP at the wheels. The 2006 GTO came in with a “JBA” cat back dual exhaust and a “Vararam” cold air intake. With these mods alone (without ECU tuning), this GTO dyno’d at 350 wheel HP, or approx 420 HP at the flywheel, which is +20 HP with adding the exhaust and cold air intake system.

To optimize the exhaust system and cold air intake modifications, this 6.0L LS2 engine was in desperate need of custom ECU tuning, and Dyno-Comp was able to achieve yet another +30 wheel HP with ECU TUNING ONLY. Now this blood thirsty GTO lays down a gut wrenching 382 wheel HP or approx 458 at the flywheel.

NOTE: These are NOT off the shelf maps like you would get with your typical hand-held programmer. Dyno-Comp is able to CUSTOM tune each car, mod specific, and VIN specific. Every car is different. Even if you have 2 of the same exact cars with the exact mods, in order to optimize the HP and TQ, both car would require different mapping.

+58 to
+60 HP
with exhaust, Cold Air Intake, and Dyno-Comp ECU tuning expertise!

COOLER THAN A POLAR BEAR'S TOENAILS

Take a Mercedes SL55 and replace its rims with a set of premium RENNtech 3 piece forged chrome wheels. Not only are these wheels extremely strong, but they also give you a significant decrease in un-sprung weight over the stock wheels. This rugged, urethane film helps protect against stone chips, bug damage, abrasion and weathering. 3M paint protection film is transparent and nearly invisible, and does not alter the vehicle's appearance.
